About these terms

These terms apply to the website localaicreator.com and to the TopLocal Studio desktop app. Both are provided by TopLocalAI, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company in the United States ("we", "us"). By using the website or the app, you agree to these terms.

The software and its license

The source code of TopLocal Studio is published at github.com/TopLocalAI/toplocal-studio under the Apache License 2.0. Your use of the source code is governed by that license.

Ready-made installers

We offer ready-made installers (the macOS DMG and the Windows setup.exe) as a one-time purchase on Patreon. The purchase includes all 1.x updates.

• Payment is handled by Patreon. Your purchase is also subject to Patreon's terms of use and privacy policy.
• The macOS app is signed with an Apple Developer ID. The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, and the Windows build is an early version that has not been widely tested.
• For refunds or other questions about your purchase, email support@localaicreator.com.

AI models

Models are not included with the app. You download them separately from inside the app, from Hugging Face or a mirror. Each model is provided by its own authors under its own license, and the app shows that license before you download it.

• You are responsible for following the license of each model you download.
• Model licenses also apply to what you create with the model. Some licenses, such as FLUX Non-Commercial and CC BY-NC 4.0, do not allow commercial use.
• Some models may require you to accept terms with a third party, such as creating a Hugging Face account and access token for the LTX-2.5 video model.

Your content and responsible use

Everything you create with the app is made and stored on your own computer. We do not see it and do not claim ownership of it. You are responsible for how you use the app and what you create with it, including making sure your use is lawful and respects the rights of others. For example, only clone a voice when you have the permission of the person it belongs to.

The website

The website provides information about the app. It has no user accounts and does not take payments. You may not misuse the website, for example by trying to disrupt it or gain unauthorized access to it.

No warranty

The website and the app are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI models can produce inaccurate, unexpected or unsuitable results. We do not guarantee that the app will run on any particular computer, that it will be free of errors, or that any particular model will remain available for download.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TopLocalAI, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the website or the app.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the website or the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
